Kapulanikai Vacation Apartments
Over the years there have been many queries regarding protocols, expectations and general considerations when staying at Kapulanikai. We have compiled a short list of frequently asked questions which will provide clarity to what is expected when visiting.
Kahului Airport
- Take HI-311 S and N Kihei Rd to W Kapu Pl in Kihei – 22 min (11.2 mi)
- Head southwest on Lanui Cir toward Airport Rd – 0.3 mi
- Slight right onto Airport Rd –1.2 mi
- Continue onto HI-380 – 0.2 mi
- Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto HI-311 S/S Puunene Ave
- Continue to follow HI-311 S – 6.5 mi
- Turn right onto N Kihei Rd – 0.1 mi
- Turn left onto S Kihei Rd – 2.8 mi
- Drive to W Kapu Rd – 1 min (0.1 mi)
- Turn right onto W Kapu Pl – 0.1 mi
- Turn right onto W Kapu Rd
- Destination will be on the left – 33 ft
Our check out time here at Kapulanikai is 9:00am or earlier. It is imperative that all guests and shareholders respect the time lines set out. We have a small window of time to clean and prepare for the next guests.
Quiet hours are from 10:00pm until 7:00am. Please use your indoor voices and refrain from loud TV’s or Radio’s between these hours.
Occupancy is limited to four (4) persons. This includes children.
There are no lifeguards on duty at Kapulanikai. Use the pool at your own risk. Please supervise your children for their safety.
The main pool gates should remain closed at all times for the safety of everyone. This is required by Hawaii State Law. This also includes the gates at the lanai of units #1 and #2.
Please shower off sand and lotions before entering the pool.
Please do not put foreign objects like rocks, coins or coral into the pool. Please remove your pool toys when leaving the pool.
Please no horse play like running, pushing, diving or jumping in and around the pool deck. The deck can get slippery when its wet. Please no loud yelling, Marco Polo, swearing or spitting when in the pool area.
Kapulanikai is a totally smoke free facility. If you must smoke please smoke in the designated smoking area just outside of the entrance to the property. There is a bench for your comfort and a container to place your cigarette butts.
Smoking is totally prohibited in the units, lanais, walkways, community patio including the tables and chairs, pool area, barbecue area, parking lot and the front lawn.
There is no onsite staff, therefore all RCI guests must call

Kapulanikai does not have air conditioning but the evening breezes from the ocean can effectively cool down your apartment.
